Darjeeling: A youth was arrested in the wee hours of Saturday in connection with an alleged gang rape of a minor girl at New Jalpaiguri station area. Two others are absconding. The accused Mohammad Ansar, a resident of Dangipara, Siliguri was produced at Jalpaiguri court on Saturday.The incident had occurred three days ago. Ansar and two of his friends had abducted a minor girl and taken her to the parking lot adjacent to the NJP station. They had allegedly sexually assaulted her inside an auto. The victim was then rescued. Police have also launched a man hunt for two of Ansar’s associates.
